In man’s naivete, it is his continuing belief that the universal apex technology is mechanical. That there is some rambling stream of technological innovation designed to make life whiz by faster or the acquisition of wealth easier; untrue. Man’s apex technology is biological, more specifically his own personal biology. All the electro-mechanical technology we create only acts as a brace. It causes us to atrophy in body, mind and soul, losing for us the very attributes we should sacrifice all else to develop.

If you’ve made it this far, I will assume that you’re one of the few who are not driven by the endless pursuit of tangible possession, and that you are willing to make an integrous investment into your own spirituality.

O.K., then let’s start.

Our construct of western thought has been so far removed from the understanding of subtle energys, our language cannot even address the concepts. Man through organized religion has created "the mysteries"– constructs to explain the nature of things he logically cannot understand.

Science has bludgeoned out of our lexicon reference to anything that cannot be measured, quantified and repeatably observed. Science today is not so much an expansion of understanding the universe around us, but a hallmark of available technology to measure what we can see.

You may find that in some places and certainly in some circles, the shaman will be attacked. He will be branded and scorned as a charlatan, a heretic, or worse. The hue and cry that we hear today is; that there is no rational or logical basis for the shamans art.

But, the earth revolved around the sun, and the principles of gravity governed the physical world long before Newton and Copernicus were sanctioned by the church. So too, the shaman's art. Science now persues funding opportunities rather than the unknown.  Science and technology have become the religious retreat of the western mind, and so in a very real sense, religious persecution of the shaman persists to this day.  A shaman must get out of his head and into his soul.

Let science take their ball and go home, they don't want to know, but they clearly understand that "out here, there be dragons." The organized religions will not come with you, because you will have long since stopped participating in the argument that my "dad can beat up your dad."

You alone must make the decision to step from the ledge into your personal spirituality. You may know the other side of the abyss is there, you may even be able to see it, but it is further than you can leap, more than a single step.

This is a new unexplored place for most of us. Funny though, once you take the step– get out there, you will find you’re not alone, there have always been people here. Teaching, sharing, encouraging each of us to do more, be more, know more than we otherwise would have ever thought possible. We come to find out that there is only one story. We each tell it differently, that’s mythology. We each understand it differently, that’s our culture and our individual psychology. We come to find that there is much we don’t know, we cannot know from others, because it cannot be told, and because of that, it is unknowable. It is silent knowledge, it must be experienced.

You will also find it is not necessary to be able to repeat your experience in a scientific setting. You will not have to measure it against some arbitrary unchangeable scale.  You will allso find that the universe doesn't waste a lot of energy repeating lessons to those who are willing to listen. You will soon find the internal compass which points the way away from illusion, delusion and mis-perception towards an expanded understanding. From then on, things are never the same and repeatability is lost like yesterday's sunset.

Only those of us who possess enough foolishness, perhaps even bordering on madness, will ever attempt to make an accounting of the experience to others. Knowing all the while that our best efforts will fall comically short of the reality we have experienced. Most of us will just sit quietly, smile and know.

Don't let your fear of the unknown keep you from experiencing the unknowable. I can promise you one thing with absolute certainty. From the first moment you accept your experience of the unknowable, your life will be forever different. Whether you make that difference a profoundly good difference, or make a lesser choice, that’s up to you.
